What do I need for playing import and backup games on XBOX 360?

Backup games:
We’d recommend Connectivity Kit v3 PRO/Lite (if you have LiteOn drive, you will need also Connectivity Kit v3 PROBE with it) or Blaster CK 360 which allows you to flash your dvd-drive in order to play backup games.
There’s no modchip that works on new XBOX 360 Slim manufactured from December 2010.

Read the Total Guide To XBOX 360 Xbox DVD Drives and Xecutor Kits

Import games:
We’d recommend Cygnos 360 v2.0

Hello Dale, So to answer your questions there are a few things that you will need in order to play burnt or backup games on your 360. Now if you have the normal Xbox 360 all you need is the Connectivity Kit V3 Pro - http://www.mod-chip.com/xbox-360/modchips/connectivity-kit-v3-pro-p-104.html . (if you have the LiteOn drive, you will also need the Connectivity Kit v3 PROBE) The instructions for install come with it. Simply all you have to do is open your Xbox connect the kit to your drive and flash it. By flashing it you are erasing all the data that does not allow you to play burned games so that you can. And in the case that Microsoft updates their software so that you again cannot play burned games all you need to do it connect the V3 Pro kit again and flash your drive again. I hope this helps you Dale, if you have any further questions please feel free to ask! Cheers Mod-Chip Support

Hey, when you say "And in the case that Microsoft updates their software so that you again cannot play burned games all you need to do it connect the V3 Pro kit again and flash your drive again." Does that mean i wont be banned from xbox live? Because my worry is that if i buy these products my system will be banned after updates. Please get back to me soon, Thanks.

Hi Niko, Unfortunately this is the major downfall to playing any burned games on Xbox live. 10% of the time you may be banned when using burned games. The only way to fully insure you are not banned when playing online is to use original disks. Best Regards Paul

Hello Virgil, You will need the Cygnos 360 for playing imported games on your 360. You can see the item listing on this link. http://www.mod-chip.com/xbox-360/modchips/cygnos-360-v20-p-138.html Unfortunately if you play Xbox live with imported or backup games you are taking a risk of being kicked off. The only safe way to play live is with the original disks. Best Regards Paul

Hello A.E, It is already possible to mod a Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect. But in order to better answer which mod would be best for you I would need to know what DVD drive type you have. There are 4 different drive types on the 360 slim: Liteon 9504 Liteon 0225 Hitachi 0500AA Liteon 0401

Paul, I am fairly certain that I have a Liteon 0401. What would I need to purchase? I will double check later. If on the off chance it turns out to be a Liteon 0225, what would i need to purchase in that instance?

I just received my X360USB and I can not get any of my computers to recognize it. It lights up as if it is doing something, but nothing happens when I attach any devices to it.

Hello Ali, as you can see above there are multiple types on drives on the Slim 360 models. So if you know what model dvd drive you have it will help. But mostly the best option for slim models is our pre-order item X360Key Xbox 360 USB Loader.

OK Ali, So this is only possible if you have a drive which is flashable. So you have to check the list 4 comments up and see what drive you have and if it is possible to flash it. But overall it is better to play games directly from a hard drive then you dont need to waste time burning disks or loosing them etc. Its all in one place.

So does the "X360 key xbox 360 USB loader" back up the games for you? Can I also download a game off the Internet onto this? And my xbox will play it?

I am not sure what you mean by "back up the games for you", it does not automatically download the games for you, it just allows you to play all backup games from a USB key, or a hard drive. So you download the games put them on the external hard drive, plug the external hard drive to the X360 key xbox 360 USB loader and play.

The best is to buy an old Xbox with older firmware. if you buy a new Xbox you wont be able to use mod-chips on it yet.
